迷宫Ⅲ：危险关系Labyrinth Ⅲ: Dangerous Liaisons

    “迷宫”系列研究和展示计划，由策展人董冰峰和艺术家杨韬共同发起。

    从2007年开始，“迷宫”每年与不同的艺术空间合作，针对每一阶段的艺术现实状况，组织不同的议题。即将于9月27日在北京草场地艺术区Li Gallery开幕的“迷宫Ⅲ：危险关系”（ Labyrinth Ⅲ: Dangerous Liaisons）为第三次正式呈现，同时也是座落在北京草场地Li Gallery的空间首展，邀请包括绘画、装置、摄影与电影等多种表达媒材的18位艺术家。之后，展览将由亚特兰大Li Gallery组织并作美国巡回展出。

    “迷宫Ⅲ：危险关系”（ Labyrinth Ⅲ: Dangerous Liaisons）试图指出一种危机：即伴随着近三十年来中国当代艺术历经与社会现实的冲撞、妥协与被迎纳，转至高度市场化社会中而导致的“媚俗”（作为生存方式）与政治无意识（作为思考方式）的倾向。我们所熟悉的这种“倾向”其实更接近一种艺术存在“困境”的描述，一种正逐渐丧失了自我思维功能的中国当代艺术面临的矛盾，既迫切树立和重新界定全球文化中心系统中的身份与位置，又无时不刻被强加的“民族性”特征所引发的政治性焦虑。

    由此，“危险关系”，既可以呈现为一种中国当代艺术复杂的阐释面向，又可视作一种新的工具论，如俄罗斯评论家Viktor Misiano提到的“TUSOVKA”（如何在变化莫测的文化环境中达到思想和实践的改组）概念中的“自愿的联系”；同时也指出艺术家是如何通过思考与行动来干预和介入社会现实。“迷宫Ⅲ：危险关系”希冀引发和加强参展艺术家之间的讨论，
 

    又解释了作为展示空间Li Gallery的实验、易于流变，和强调“知识生产”意图中潜在的政治或社会议题。

    “危险关系”是一个“运动中”的展览，在展览期间，参展艺术家还将不定期更换参展作品及调整作品展出形态，而展览期间每月的专题电影放映将呈现中国重要的独立制作。（董冰峰）

    From 2007, according to every statement of the condition of art, “Labyrinth” cooperates with different art space each year. Now, the third one Labyrinth Ⅲ: Dangerous Liaisons will be hold at 27 Sep in Li Gallery (Cao Chang Di), at the same time this exhibition is the first opening show in Li Gallery. 18 artists, including painting, installation, photography and film etc multi-media. Later, this exhibition will have a tour exhibition in America be holding by Li gallery (Atlanta).

 

    Labyrinth Ⅲ: Dangerous Liaisons attempt to indicate a crisis; accompany with nearly 30 years China contemporary art, has been go through crash, compromise, and be admit in this social reality, then turn to highly marketized, incline to vulgar (as living method) and politic unconsciousness (as thinking method). This “tendency” is close to kind of description of existing art “puzzledom”, like Chinese contemporary art is lacking of self-thinking and face the contradiction, not only force to build and redefined the identity in the global culture world, but also bothered by the politic anxiety of the character of “nationality”.

 

    Therefore, Dangerous Liaisons appears as a complex interpretation of Chinese contemporary art, also as a new instrumentalism. Like Russia critic Viktor Misiano has been mention the freewill connection from the concept TUSOVKA (how to recombinant thoughts and practice in the various cultural environment). At the meantime shows artists how to use thoughts and practice to intervene the social reality.

 

    Labyrinth Ⅲ: Dangerous Liaisons wish can trigger and increase the artists’ discussion. It interprets the Li Gallery as a display space has its own nondeterminacy and fluidity, also emphasize the social or political issues underlay the knowledge production. During the exhibition, there are also seminars and film projection.
