    Remains of a Travelling Battered Wing是驻香港菲律宾艺术家Arnel S. Agawin的混合媒介个人作品展。展览作品包括素描、绘画、录像和装置艺术，是Agawin探索香港深度精神面貌的旅程的出发点。这是他成为香港居民并将香港这个地方看成自己的家的必经旅程。作为一个「间接移民和自愿被收养者」，他到达香港后不久就要面对在适应新生活时无法避免的文化冲击。因此，这个不仅是他被香港社会和文化背景同化的旅程，他亦试图改变这个背景。
 

    展览的主题作品名为Remains of a Travelling Battered Wing，是一个由树枝、树叶和手工纸造成的单翼，这是「代表一个人的希望和梦想；所用的材料唤起了空降的灵魂试图回航的一次艰苦经历；又或令人联想到谚语中扑火灯蛾的折翼残肢」。
 

    展览还包括表演艺术的元素。Agawin计划背着其作品Remains of a Travelling Battered Wing从他鲗鱼涌的家赤脚步行至的位于苏豪的画廊。
 

    这个表演项目象征着他被逼适应香港生活的旅程，赤脚能够使他和他背着的单翼作品跟大地有更好的连系。表演内容和艺术家跟途人的互动将以录像形式记录，作为展览的一部分。

    Remains of a Travelling Battered Wing is a solo exhibition of mixed media works by the Hong Kong based, Filipino artist Arnel S. Agawin. The exhibition, which comprises drawings, paintings, video and installation, takes as its starting point, a journey of discovery by Agawin to the inner recesses of Hong Kong’s psyche. It is a journey he had to make in becoming a resident of Hong Kong and making this place his home. Being a ‘circumstantial migrant and willing adoptee’ of this city, it became obvious to him, soon after his arrival to Hong Kong that he had to adapt ‘to confront inevitable cultural impositions’. It is therefore not only a journey about his process of assimilating into the specific social and cultural context of Hong Kong, but also an attempt to transform this context.

    The centerpiece of Agawin’s exhibition is called Remains of a Travelling Battered Wing and it is a singular wing made from twigs, leaves and handmade paper that is a ‘representation of a person’s hopes and dreams. It is made of materials that evoke the travails of a once airborne soul trying to get back on flight or the leftover wing of the proverbial moth who dived straight into the flame and survived’.

    There is also a performative element to this exhibition. Agawin plans to carry Remains of a Travelling Battered Wing from his home in Quarry Bay to the gallery in Soho and he plans to make the walk barefoot.

    This performance is symbolic of the journey he had to make in adapting to life in Hong Kong, barefoot so that he can make a ‘better connection to the earth’ whilst bearing his wing. A documentation video of this performance and interaction with passersby will be part of the exhibition.
